Order Management


1. Shipping & Handling: US Orders

US orders include all 50 states, APO/FPO, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Minor Outlying Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands.

We offer two shipping options for US orders. In stock orders are typically fulfilled and shipped within the next business day of purchase. You will be charged at the time the order is placed. When your order ships, we will email you a shipping confirmation with tracking information.

  • USPS Standard 3 - 7 days shipping: FREE
  • USPS Expedited 1 - 3 days shipping: $6

  • 2. Shipping & Handling: International Orders

    Tile is currently taking orders for shipment to the following countries: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the European Union (excluding Cyprus/Croatia/Malta/Jersey Island/Tenerife), and United States. In the future, we will be rolling it out to other countries.

    3. Payment & Billing

    What methods of payment do you accept?

    We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards.

    Why was my credit card declined?

    Most credit cards are declined because the billing zip code you entered does not match the address your bank has on file. If you continue to experience problems, we recommend that you contact your bank to confirm your card is up to date with your zip code information.

    I see a $1 authorization charge on my card, what is this?

    When Tile is in a backorder state, you may see a pending transaction for each attempt to submit a payment. The pending transaction will typically clear up within 5 business days, depending on your bank. In a backorder state, your card will be charged once your order has been processed for shipping.

    4. Returns & Refunds

    Return Policy: We have worked very hard to create a product you will love and we believe you will love your Tile product. However, we realize the Product you receive from Tile may not be exactly what you expected. Should this rare occurrence take place, the original retail purchaser of the Product may return all Tiles purchased in the original transaction, in their original condition, with the original receipt and packaging, within 30 days of the date of delivery to the original retail purchaser and Tile will exchange it or provide a full refund of the original purchase price. Please note that this policy applies only to Products you purchase directly from Tile. This is in addition to your legal rights and your rights under the Tile hardware one (1) year Worldwide Warranty referred to below.

    5. Hardware Limited Warranty

    Tile Hardware Limited Warranty

    Tile warrants that your Tile hardware product ("the Product") will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery to the original retail purchaser ("the Warranty Period"). If a defect in the Product arises within the Warranty Period, Tile will, at its sole option and subject to applicable laws: (a) repair or replace it with a new or refurbished product or component; or (b) refund the original purchase price upon return of the defective Product. This Warranty does not apply to Products you purchase from unauthorized resellers, or where the instructions for use and activation of the Product are not complied with or where the Product is damaged as a result of abuse, accident, modification or other causes beyond our reasonable control.

    ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCTS ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE APPLICABLE EXPRESS WARRANTY. ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED CONDITIONS, REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, ARE DISCLAIMED. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary by jurisdiction.

    About Tile


    1. How Tile Works

    Tile is the smart companion for all things you can't stand to lose. Place or stick Tiles on items (like your keys) so you can find them when they go missing. When you begin searching for a lost item, your phone tracks the Bluetooth signal strength of your Tile up to 100 feet. As the signal draws you closer, Tile's distinctive melody can be heard until your lost item is back in your hands.

    2. Tile Technology & Technical Details

    Tile uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to help you locate your items. While Bluetooth technology is a wireless technology, there are significant differences between Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS technology. Tile's Bluetooth range is up to 100 ft.     3. Size of Tile

    Tile is small, lightweight and fits in with the design of your favorite things. Tile can easily attach to items via an adhesive sticker or by attaching to keys using the cutout hole.

    Product Size: 37mm x 37mm x 5.3mm

    That's about 1/4" thin, and a bit less than 1.5" length and height.


    4. Water Resistance & Durability

    Water Resistant: Tile is water resistant up to IP5 standards so a spilled drink or a rainy day won't pose a problem.

    Durable: Tile is built from durable materials and designed to withstand whatever the world throws at them.


    5. Battery Duration & Lifetime of Tile

    The quality components in Tile will run for 1 year. You don't need to charge Tile or replace the battery. Simply after 1 year, we can help you recycle your old Tiles and replace them with the latest model.


    6. Distance & Bluetooth Range of Tile

  • *IMPORTANT - Please be advised that Tile’s connectivity and app are affected by a known Bluetooth issue with devices using Android 6.0.0 (Marshmallow). Connectivity appears to be fixed in Android 6.0.1. Google has already begun to release 6.0.1, so please be sure to upgrade your OS as soon as it's available for your device. Thank you!

    If your device is not on this list but uses Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a good chance Tile will work fine, but we are not able to offer the same level of support in troubleshooting scenarios.


    8. Security & Privacy

    Tiles are only visible to the registered user, and they do not contain any personal identifiable information on them. If you mark something as lost, another user's phone can find a Tile, but it relays the information to our servers anonymously. The user never even knows they did it.

    Using Tile


    1. Ways to Find Tile

    So your stuff goes missing. What do you do? Follow these tips to help you find your lost Tile!

    * Tile Missing Nearby *

    Tile casts a signal across a 100-foot radius. To start searching for an item, select the item from the app home screen and tap the green "Find" button. You can also tap the Tile icon to show the location proximity. When you start searching for an item, your phone tracks the signal strength of your Tile. The green tracking circle fills in as you get closer and Tile's distinctive melody will play until your lost item is back in safe hands!

    * Tile Maps the Last Place You Had It *

    The app automatically records the last place your phone, or any other phone with the app open, saw your Tile. Simply open up your lost item on the app and tap the map to get the approximate location and directions to your Tile. This should give you a starting point to look for your Tile so you don't have to retrace all of your steps.

    * Mark as Lost: Use When Your Tile is Lost and Out of Range *

    The Mark as Lost feature allows you to mark your Tile as lost in the app. Once your Tile has been found by either you or a Tile community member, you will receive a push notification and email notifying you of the item's location. Learn how it works here.


    2. Account & Activation

    Setting Up Your Account

    • 1. Download the Tile App
    • 2. Open the app on your phone and tap "Get Started".
    • 3. Enter the email address you want to use for your user name.
    • 4. Create a password at least 7 characters long.
    • 5. Check your email inbox for an email from [email protected] Follow the link in the email to confirm. (If you can't find this email, please click here).
    • 6. Once confirmed, open the app and select "I already have an account." Sign in using your email address (username) and password.
    • 7. Follow the prompts to allow Tile access to Bluetooth and Location Finding so you can see your Tiles on a map

    Activate Your First Tile

    • 1. Add a Tile: Select the + button to add a Tile
    • 2. Press the "e" button firmly on the Tile until you hear it play a tune. (The most common problem we hear about is that people had to push the "e" harder than they thought. It needs to be done firmly, and it will depress. You'll hear a tune.)
    • 3. Place the Tile on your device as directed by the app
    • 4. Name your Tile
    • 5. Add a picture of the item you're going to Tile
    • 6. Activate your Tile
    • 7. Be happy because now you can always find your stuff!


    3. Device Compatibility

    4. Reset Your Password

    If you need to reset your account password, please follow the instructions here.


    5. Shared Tiles Features

    You can invite one person to share each Tile with. This will double your finding power to help keep track of your items. Good people to share with include a significant other, roommate, family member, co-worker, pretty much anyone close to you in life!

    The person that you "share" Tile with will be able to:

  • Ring the Tile
  • See location updates
  • Mark the Tile as Lost
  • Learn more about sharing here.


    6. Transferring Tiles

    If you would like to transfer a Tile from your account to another active Tile user's account, please send our Customer Support team a message which includes:

    1. Your Name

    2. The email address currently associated with the active Tile. Please note: The email must match the email address that you have written from.

    3. The email address that you would like to have the Tile transferred to. The transfer email must be associated with an active Tile app account.

    4. The name of the Tile that you'd like to transfer. (Example: "Keys", "Bag", "Car", etc.)

    5. The Tile ID. This can be accessed by selecting the Tile on the Tile app and then select Edit in the upper right hand corner.

    Once received, requests will be processed as fast as possible.

    NOTE: We are aware that this process should be made available within the app and we have it on our development roadmap.


    7. Tile Sound

    Tile's sound is designed to be heard by a wide range of hearing levels. You can press the Find button on the app to have your Tile play a tune.

    While at this time the sound on a Tile cannot be adjusted, the Tile app provides a visual indication showing you if you're getting closer/further from your Tile.

    To get started, tap the Tile icon when trying to find your lost Tile. When you start searching for an item, your phone tracks the signal strength of your Tile. The green tracking circle fills in as you get closer.

    Frequency: Tile songs range from 131 Hz to 8000 Hz.
